Jens Stoltenberg, secretário-geral da OTAN, disse esta quinta-feira, encontrando-se de visita na Estônia, que os aliados estão preocupados com a possibilidade de a França entregar os porta-helicópteros Mistral à Rússia.
“Os aliados da OTAN estão preocupados com o fato de a França poder entregar os Mistrais à Rússia”, afirmou Stoltenberg em coletiva de imprensa na base aérea militar de Amari, em proximidades de Tallinn.
Ao mesmo tempo, o secretário-geral observou que a aliança não se dedica ao comércio de equipamento militar e cada país-membro da OTAN decide sozinho essas questões.

Perfeito. Como qualquer negócio fica passível de ser defeito com a parte desistente arcando com a consequências. A OTAN podia correr a sacolinha para dar a França a grana para repassar a Russia, caso contrário apenas estão estimulando o estelionato.

Há sim muita diferença…
Com esses navios, a Russia ganha verdadeira projeção de força convencional a nível global… É a capacidade de desembarcar forças consideráveis em qualquer parte do globo ( além da considerável projeção de força humanitária ).
Não se pode simplesmente utilizar armas nucleares pra tudo… Para efeito de dissuasão, elas servem principalmente para provar que qualquer ataque pode ser retaliado com uma força aniquiladora. Mas, na prática, não é uma arma para um primeiro ataque, posto que não há país no mundo hoje que poderia utilizar essas armas sem que incorresse em pesadas consequências…
Já o poderio convencional pleno é algo bem mais palatável… E para a Russia, principalmente, significa poder intervir sem grandes riscos de retaliação, quando for necessário e em qualquer lugar, e em cenários de intensidade variada. Por exemplo, pode se dizer que esses dois Mistral poderiam ter dado uma mão enorme aos sírios, se os russos desejassem uma intervenção maior na Síria…
Desculpa ai RR mas vou concordar com o Rafa_positron, esses navios não irão tornar a Rússia mais perigosa do que já é, inclusive se a Rússia quiser projeta um navio igual ou até superior !
O velho Porta-aviões Almirante Kuznetsov, impõe mais medo que esses navios Mistral ! podendo garantir a armada russa capacidade de atuação sem grandes riscos de retaliação !
Haja vista que as grandes potência só agem contra os países fracos e sem capacidade de defesa !

O Kuznetsov não faz o trabalho do Mistral, e vice-versa… São armas com propósitos distintos…
O Mistral é um navio de assalto anfíbio, cujo propósito é proporcionar os meios para formar e consolidar uma cabeça de praia, que é uma capacidade fundamental para quem tem pretenções de projeção a nível global. Esses navios, portanto, tornam a Marinha Russa uma marinha com verdadeira capacidade expedicionária. E isso é sim um incremento substâncial ao poderio russo e as pretenções daquele país.
O Kuznetsov é um porta-aviões STOBAR, e nunca foi pensado para operações anfíbias.
Independente de contra quem se pretende agir, essa é uma capacidade que deve estar presente, se se pretende realmente operações anfíbias em real escala…
Cesar é diferente, navios de desembarque anfíbios como o Mistral cumprem tarefas que o porta aviões não pode realizar como por exemplo esses navios darão a Rússia a capacidade de colocar 40 veículos anfíbios BTR-80 e 1200 fuzileiros em terra rapidamente em qualquer lugar… O Kuznetsov pode garantir a segurança do espaço aéreo e projeção de poder por terra por meio de bombardeios mas não oferece essa capacidade… Os Mistrais com certeza aumentarão, e muito, o poder de dissuasão da Rússia.
Sem contar as inúmeras funções secundárias que esses navios podem desempenhar como por exemplo transporte de carga, apoio hospitalar, apoio logístico para outros meios da esquadra, assalto aéreo e ataque por meios dos helis KA-52, etc…

Concordo com seus argumentos, apesar de não ver problema nenhum em ver a Rússia com (APENAS) dois LHD. Até porque estes meios tem limitações que devem ser cobertas por outras embarcações de escolta, que o país não tem em número adequado no momento para torná-los efetivos. Mas daí a alternativa tornar-se “palatável” foi um must…
Espero que não tenha se ofendido, mesmo porque não foi minha intenção.

Quis dizer no sentido de que o emprego desses navios, assim como outros meios convencionais, em ações ofensivas, seria mais tolerável frente a comunidade internacional que o emprego de armas nucleares… Mas creio que me expressei mal, de qualquer forma…
No que diz respeito as escoltas, um desses navios ( com uns quinhentos fuzileiros a bordo ), escoltado por dois Udaloy e o Kuznetsov, já seria uma senhora força do mar, capaz de intervir com força em qualquer país que não fosse uma potencia organizada…
